Some of us Yids in our football team were
discussing the awful nags that have trotted out in the past for the
mighty lily whites. Who can forget the admirable ineptitude of Jason
Cundy or the week in - week out clownery of Mitchell Thomas. We tried to
name our worst eleven in our lifetimes. I throw this hat into the ring.
Mimms
Austin
C***bell
Nethercott Edinburgh
Cundy
Dozy
A.Gray Thomas(M)
Rosenthal
Brazil
Subs: Perry, Tramezzani, Ally Dick, Van-Den-Hauwe, Vega
I'm sure you'll agree that its stiff competition but that is a bloody
awful line up.
HOWELL JONES
Ed : - Well, with Mitch not
really a midfielder, you could excuse him being crap. Alan Brazil,
by all means, he never looked right in a Spurs shirt and I am surprised
that Paolo didn't make it into the side as he was very inept. From
the look of the side, it is selected from about 1990 onwards, which does
rule out a lot of bad players who have passed through our ranks, so let's
see what other readers come up with. |

How
about this for the worst 11 since the Double side:
Mimms
McAllister
Brown (Laurie)
Cundy
Edinburgh
Cooke
Gray (Andy)
Fox
Jenkins (David)
Rosenthal
Dozzell
Substitutes:
Kendall
Tramezzani
Vega
Thomas (Mitchell)
Moores (Ian)
What do you think?
Richard Porter
Ed: - I think that is a fine team who
would disgrace the white shirts of Spurs, although interesting that
there are so many modern players in there. Were things really that
much better in the old days ??
Any idea who they might possibly play to get a result ?? |
