spurs v wolverhampton
wanderers notes
| 28.08.1933 |
To mark Tottenham's first home
game back in the First Division at the start of the 1933-34 season, they
hired the Band of the Grenadier Guards to play before the game against
Wolverhampton Wanderers. The band could not make it for an evening
kick off and so the time was brought forward to the afternoon, meaning
that the Monday fixture was won by Spurs, but in front of a much reduced
crowd, as many fans were unable to attend. |

Hollywood actress Jayne
Mansfield attended the match and waved to the crowd from the Press box. |
