The Sunday Mirror put out the bizarre claim
that Harry Redknapp is ready to sign William Gallas should
Arsenal let the defender leave. What was it that Levy was
saying about disruptive influences in the dressing room. The
News of the World pick up on the Stewart Downing transfer
story, claiming Tottenham might face competition from Liverpool and
Manchester City in the race to sign the £12 million winger, although
if Manchester City are seriously involved, then you might as well
scrap that story and picture him with a light blue and white scarf.

The Daily Mirror reckons that Spurs will go for Bordeaux's

to double his salary. Not sure what he's on at the moment, but
there may be some negotiation to go through before a move is on.
The Sun run an unusual story claiming that Tottenham's move for
Manchester City's Shaun Wright-Phillips has hit a snag.
The likelihood of this move happening might be slim and it could

Spurs against Arsenal (as always seems to be happening these days)
for the signing of Fulham central defender Brede Hangeland.
