The Daily Mirror reckons that Spurs will go for Bordeaux's Argentinian striker Fernando Cavenaghi with a £12 million offer. although yesterday, the player also said he wanted Tottenham to double his salary.  Not sure what he's on at the moment, but there may be some negotiation to go through before a move is on.  The Sun run an unusual story claiming that Tottenham's move for Manchester City's Shaun Wright-Phillips has hit a snag.  The likelihood of this move happening might be slim and it could have escaped the Sun's attention that he cannot play for two teams in the same league in the same season.  The same newspaper pit Spurs against Arsenal (as always seems to be happening these days) for the signing of Fulham central defender Brede Hangeland.
