Christian Ziege is considering a career in medicine after it comes the day for him to give up football.  Having spent the majority of this year in the gym or in hospital, the German international feels he is an expert on recovering from injury.  A bit of that expertise could see him back playing in the New Year, as he has been told that the ligaments in his knee have healed, but he needs to rebuild the muscle in his legs.
Reserve midfielder Johnnie Jackson has said he moved to Coventry City on loan as he wasn't getting a look-in at Spurs and it is his intention to get some first team action under his belt  with a view to impressing clubs who might be interested in his services when his contrac6t is up in the summer.

Rohan Ricketts' contract talks are a long way advanced and it looks as though he will sign a contract with Spurs in the next couple of weeks.  His current deal expires in summer 2004, so he would have been able to talk to other clubs from January 2004.
Fredi Kanoute's progress on his ankle injury has been so good that he might play a part in Wednesday's reserve outing at West Ham United.  The club were careful to say "may" and that if things went well, he "may" play at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.  Personally, I think that they will not rush him back too quickly.

In the same piece for Soccernet, Taricco added that he would prefer a manager to be appointed sooner rather than later, so that the players can get settled and the new man could start to steady the side.
