A row has broken out over Tottenham's purchase of Coventry City's Calum Davenport.  After the buying of the young central defender, the Coventry chairman is said to be aggrieved that Spurs might loan the player out to West Ham United, saying that the Sky Blues wanted him loaned back to them, but Spurs said no.  Surely, it is Tottenham's decision who they loan him out to with the best interests of the player's development in mind rather than as a favour to the selling club.  Spurs let Davenport play against West Ham United for his former club before bringing him to White Hart Lane, so it appears that we have been more than generous, as he could have suffered injury in that match, thus rendering him out of action for us.
Owen Hargreaves has dropped a big hint that he still might come to Tottenham.  In the summer, he plumped to stay at Bayern Munich, but on the FA website, today said he was interested in what Frank Arnesen had to say to him and that maybe in the future he might consider an offer from the club.
