Harry Redknapp has hit back at West Ham United
co-owner David Sullivan, who attacked Tottenham for
allegedly aiming to unsettle midfielder Scott Parker
by making a bid for him. Redknapp said that clubs are
allowed to make an offer for players, with Daniel Levy
probably only making an advance if given some encouragement,
but it was not Tottenham who revealed that the bid had been
made, so it would seem that the Irons co-owner may just have
been speaking about it to enhance his own stance at Upton
Park.
Redknapp also slammed the pre-season schedule with
Spurs having not got over their trip to the USA, as the
players are still waking up at 03:00 a.m. and he also
criticised the England and other international friendly
fixtures a week before the start of the Premier League
season meaning the players will not be back with the club
until a day before we play Manchester City, swiftly followed
by a Champions League qualifying tie.
Hull City are looking at taking midfielder John Bostock
on loan for the coming season.

Harry Redknapp spoke about Jonathan Woodgate's
injury situation on his return to England from the US tour.
Harry said that he fears for Woodgate's career after he
revealed that the central defender is no nearer match
fitness (or indeed kicking a ball). With the new rules
coming in about naming a squad of 25 (eight of which are
home grown players and clubs can add on as many under-21s as
they like), it is unlikely that Woodgate will be among them
and the situation will be reviewed in January, when changes
to the squad can be made.
John Bostock and Steven Caulker played in
England Under-19's 1-3 defeat by Spain in the semi-final of
the European Championships in France this afternoon.
Redknapp also told the Press that he is looking to sign
three more players but has some work to do. The Spurs
boss also hinted that there may not be too much outlay with
a loan and a free transfer possibly among the incoming
players. He did say that Spurs would probably not be
in the market for Aston Villa duo James Milner and
Ashley Young, Everton defender Phil Jagielka,
Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano and Real Madrid forward
Raul.
