Manchester
United are reported to not want to sell Anthony Martial
to Spurs, so an asking price of GBP56 million seems to
have put him out of Tottenham's price range ... and all
because they can't sign Toby Alderweireld for
peanuts. Tottenham are said to be making an offer for

Another youngster who got away from coming to White Hart

England
lost 0-1 to Belgium this evening in the last group game of
the World Cup.
England were captained by Eric Dier and Danny Rose
played the whole match, with Harry Kane, Dele Alli
and Kieran Tripper all unused substitutes.
Mousa Dembele saw out the 90 minutes for Belgium, with
Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld staying
on the bench. Davinson Sanchez was in the

1-0 win over Senegal, setting up a match against England on
Tuesday.
Sad news that
former Spurs defensive midfielder Goran Bunjevcevic
has died aged 45 following a stroke he suffered in April of
this year. MEHSTGs condolences go out to his family
and friends at this sad time.

Spurs midfielder Noni Madueke has signed professional
terms with PSV EIndhoven.
FC Porto and Mali
forward Moussa Marega is attracting interest from
Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham United London, while young
Manchester City striker Bobby Duncan has opted to

Hugo Lloris

the World Cup qualifying group that saw both nations

For those of you
with long memories, the name Danny Ings might spark
some instances of goals scored for Burnley and
Bournemouth, but unfortunately not too many for Liverpool,
who he wants to leave in the summer. There was a time
when Spurs were chasing his services, but he chose to move
to Anfield and got injured a lot (mainly against us), but
journos have got out their back copies from 2015 and
recycled the rumours that Tottenham are back in for the
striker. Unlikely, but much more likely could be a
move for Santos' 19 year old French defender Junior
Kingue, as could be a move for FC Porto's Colombian
midfielder Juan Quintero at GBP19.5 million.
The Spanish press claim Spurs have made an offer for Luka
Modric of Real Madrid, while the English media report
that Spurs have started talks with Manchester United over
the signing of Anthony Martial. France Football
get in on the act, with a story about Spurs and Everton
watching Lille midfielder Yves Bissouma, who at 21,
has time to develop into a potential replacement for
Mousa Demeble, if he leaves the club.
Southampton and Tottenham are both watching the Ademola
Lookman situation at Goodison Park, having gone out on
loan from Everton to RB Leipzig last season, he may want to
move on to get first team action and his future is to be
discussed with new manager Marco Silva.

Harry Kane struck three times (twice from the penalty
spot) as England won 6-1 against Panama to qualify for the
knockout stages of the World Cup in Russia. Harry was
substituted in the 63rd minute, while Kieran Trippier
played 70 minutes before being replaced by Danny Rose.

in the day, Colombia beat Poland 3-0 with Davinson

Tottenham's fixtures
open with another away trip to Newcastle United before a
home game with Fulham to be staged at Wembley.
Swapping a home match to an away game at Watford's Vicarage
Road means the first home match at our new stadium will be
on the weekend of 15th/16th September against Liverpool.
In addition the club announced test events on each weekend
from 5th August through to 1st/2nd September apart from
11th/12 August.

On the transfer
front, old speculation about Liverpool's interest in
Victor Wanyama has been added to by Borussia Dortmund

odds for him just because he is English and our squad is a
little overseas heavy ? Others link us with a move for
PSG bad boy Adrien Rabiot, as the French champions
need to sell to make the Financial Fair Play requirements.
James Maddison of Norwich City is apparently on the
radar should the Grealish move not come off, while the

News abounds that Spurs may ask to play their first home
game at Wembley to give them more time to complete the new
home stadium.
Tottenham have lodged a GBP15 million bid for Aston Villa
midfielder Jack Grealish according to reports today,
while a Chinese club has offered GBP30 million for Mousa
Dembele and the player will make the decision on his
destination, with Italian clubs interested. Ajax
defender Mathijas de Ligt who is a target for Spurs
and a number of other clubs has handed a transfer request
in, with interested clubs awaiting to see the outcome.
A similar situation looks to be developing at Old Trafford,
where Anthony Martial's agent has indicated his
client may wish to leave Manchester United, with Spurs and
Juventus watching the situation with a keen eye. The

as well as Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
Stevenage have signed former Spurs Development winger
