Spurs might find Curtis Davies too
expensive at £10 million, so want to snap up £2m rated 19 year old
Leyton Orient defender Brian Saah in the summer to cover for
the injury hit club captain Ledley King, although the O's
manager has said there is no offer on the table as yet.
As a result, the paper claim that
Anthony Gardner
could move to Portsmouth, Birmingham or West Ham.

2006. This is increased from the second half of the previous
year, when £5.8million was made, no doubt boosted by the Puma kit

Mido is attracting attention in the papers by claiming that
Manchester City still want to buy him after their initial interest
in January was knocked back by Spurs. The Egyptian forward
also reckons Celta Vigo and PSV Eindhoven are after him.
The two fans who entered onto the pitch at White Hart Lane after the
Chelsea Sixth Round FA Cup replay last week have received three year
bans from football matches from Haringey Magistrates Court after
being found guilty. They were both fined £300.

Spurs and Arsenal are linked with a £15 million move for Everton and
England striker Andy Johnson in the summer according to the
Sunday Mirror. Surely not ?? The Sunday Express claim
that Tottenham quickly rebuffed any suggestion of a swap deal
involving Dimitar Berbatov and Peter Crouch when
Liverpool put it to them. If Werder Bremen fail to agree a new
contract with striker Miroslav Klose, then Spurs, Manchester
United and Arsenal might be in for the £5 million rated German
international forward. The People reckon that Fulham will try
and steal Wayne Routledge away from Spurs in the summer by
offering £2 million and that Spurs are watching Leeds United's young
talented 17 year old forward Tom Elliott, who has already

Paul Robinson and Aaron Lennon started England's 0-0
draw in Israel tonight in their 2008 European Championship
qualifying match. Lennon was taken off after 83 minutes, while
Jermain Defoe came off the bench in the 79th minute.
In the first competitive match at Wembley, England Under-21s drew 3-3
with Italy Under-21s. Wayne Routledge started the match
and scored the second goal by an England player to put the team 2-1
ahead. Tom Huddlestone came on as a substitute in the
79th minute, while Ben Alnwick was left on the bench.
Robbie Keane captained the Republic of
Ireland in their first competitive match at Croke Park, when they
won 1-0 against Wales in the Euro 2008 qualifier. He was
booked so misses the Republic's midweek tie against Slovakia and was
substituted in the 89th minute.
Young-Pyo Lee was in the South Korea side that lost 0-2 to
Uruguay in a friendly.
Kieran McKenna played for the
Northern Ireland Under-21 side that lost out 0-2 to Romania.

Dimitar Berbatov's agent has said that despite his client
attracting attention from some big clubs, he intends to stay at
White Hart Lane and honour his contract with Tottenham.
The FA claim that they will not take any action against any individual
Chelsea player for getting involved in any aggressive intent after
the pitch invader had been wrestled to the floor. This is
despite reviewing the video evidence from Sky TV and the BBC and the
newspapers this morning claiming that Didier Drogba might be the
main focus of the FA's attention for his part in the melee.
Sevilla have contacted UEFA to request a change of date for the UEFA
Cup quarter final tie with Tottenham because of the clash with the
Easter Maundy Thursday festival which attracts a million people.
Tottenham's game away at Wigan Athletic has been moved from Saturday
14th April to Sunday 15th April with a 1.30 p.m. kick off to be
covered by Sky TV.
The match at White Hart Lane against Arsenal on Saturday 20th April
will now kick off at 12.45 p.m. so the game can be shown on Sky's
pay-per-view channel.
With the game against Charlton Athletic being shifted to Monday 5th
May with an 8.00 p.m. kick off from Saturday 3rd May to be covered
by Sky, our home game against Blackburn Rovers scheduled for Easter
Monday 9th April is now on Sky on Thursday 10th May kicking off at

Tottenham will face an FA inquiry into the incident at the end of last
night's game against Chelsea when two supporters ran onto the pitch.
The FA claim that they are of the opinion that the fans encroachment
onto the field of play is "totally unacceptable." Spurs have
issued a statement saying they have banned the Tottenham fan for
life from White Hart Lane, while they have passed the details of the
other fan to Chelsea as he is a fan of the West London club.
UEFA have said that Tottenham's next opponents in the UEFA Cup,
Sevilla, have not yet made a request to the governing body to move
the date of the first leg. The Spanish city hosts the Easter
Maundy Thursday festival and feel that policing might be at full
stretch if the game is on the same day.

Spurs lost 1-2 to Chelsea in their FA Cup Sixth Round replay at White
Hart Lane tonight. Match report to follow.
A Tottenham fan ran onto the pitch after the game tonight to try to
throw a punch at Frank Lampard. He missed the midfielder and
was wrestled to the ground by a member of the Chelsea bench, who was
then replaced by stewards. While still on the ground, it
appeared that some Chelsea players ran to the incident to become
involved in kicking the man while he was on the ground.
Charlie Daniels has returned to Tottenham from his loan at
Chesterfield after suffering knee ligament damage after a
tackle in the Spireites game against Swansea City.

Martin Jol has put a £40 million price tag on striker
Dimitar Berbatov and said that he is confident of keeping him
despite interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, who are said
to be considering a £25 million off in the summer in the News of the
World. The same paper reckons Tottenham will lead the charge
for West Bromwich Albion central defender Curtis Davies in
the summer as cover for Ledley King. A £7 million deal
is said to be set with Anthony Gardner going the other way
too. The Sunday People reckon that Spurs scouts have been
watching Southend United striker Freddie Eastwood.
Spurs season ticket prices have been announced on the club website and
surprise, surprise, they have not been reduced or even kept frozen

Spurs have been drawn to meet Sevilla in the quarter final of the UEFA
Cup with the first leg away on 5th April and the second on 12th

behind the armband he has been sporting of late on the THFC website.
The armband is to publicise "the ‘You Are Not Alone’ campaign, a

Berba also revealed that he was unhappy with the press for suggesting

Cian Hughton and striker David Hutton helped the

The away leg of our UEFA Cup tie against
Braga on Thursday 8th March will be shown live on Channel 5 with
kick off being 9.35 p.m.
Sky Sports website claims that Tottenham have made an application to
enter the club into the InterToto Cup should they fail to secure a
place in a European competition this season .
TOTTENHAM TEAM NEWS : - Spurs will be without knee injury victim
Benoit Assou-Ekotto, who will need an operation and might be
out for eight weeks, while
Ledley King is still out with his
broken foot and Robbie Keane is suspended after last week's
sending off. Steed Malbranque has a groin problem and
Danny Murphy a calf injury which rules both of them out.
Facing late fitness tests are Jermaine Jenas on his groin,
Pascal Chimbonda who has a chest infection and the calf pull
that Didier Zokora has suffered.
WEST HAM UNITED TEAM NEWS : - Three West Ham defenders - Lucas
Neill who had an ankle injury, Matthew Upson's calf strain and James
Collins' groin strain - are now back in training, but may not make
the starting line-up. Dean Ashton will not feature, as he is
not fully over his broken ankle, while Nigel Reo-Coker is out
suspended, although Lee Bowyer may return to the team.

Former Spurs youngster Ian Stonebridge has been forced to
retire at the age of 25 due to swelling of his joints. The
Wycombe striker also played for Plymouth Argyle and Torquay United
on loan.
Former loan midfielder Stephane Dalmat
expects to leave Bordeaux at the end of the season after he
joined the French club on a free transfer from Racing Santander last
summer.
