  • Christian Pannucci, the former AC Milan left-back, now at Real Madrid, has not settled in Spain and has stated that he would be interested in a move to England. The interested clubs are led by Spurs and Arsenal.
  • Midfielder Danny Hill, unable to get a look-in at White Hart Lane, has left for Cardiff City on loan for one month and maybe until the end of the season. He has joined the Bluebirds to put himself in the shop window as he may be among the players released at the end of the season.

  • Moussa Saib to sign next week from Valencia. The Algerian midfielder has said he will sign for Tottenham for £2.5 million according to the Evening Standard. Spurs have been chasing him for some time and now the new manager at his Spanish Primera Liga club does not fancy him, he is looking for first team action. Christian Gross has said that this is likely to be the last signing this season. It still leaves the left-back berth open, perhaps for Edinburgh to stake a claim, but Tottenham representatives have been seen at Crewe; perhaps to check out the form of Seth Johnson.
  • Former Spur Paul Moran is rumoured to be set to sign for fellow Ryman League side Borehamwood, who also have ex-Spur Kerry Dixon on their books.
  • Rugged Spurs defender of the 1980’s Graham Roberts has been sacked as manager of Vauxhall Conference side Yeovil. He received the old heave-ho after a fax found it’s way into the Stevenage Town dressing room, wishing them ill in their FA Cup tie with Newcastle United.
  • The news of Ian Moores death recently was a shock. Though he became the butt of the Spurs crowd, he was an important part of the side that returned to Division One (as it was then) in 1978. His untimely passing away after suffering for some time from cancer is particularly poignant for those who watched him from the terraces.
