A number of newspapers are keen on Gareth Bale
leaving Tottenham in the coming summer. Wit the
Telegraph and the Times both running stories about him
leaving for Real Madrid, the Daily Star reckons that the
player will be having talks with Real about a £40 million
move, with £30 million up front and £10 million more payable
over four years. However, on the TalkSport website, a
former president of the Spanish club - Ramon Calderon, has
said they would be willing to pay £70 million.
The exception to the rule is the Daily Mail, who are running
a "Keep Bale In Blighty" campaign !!

the FA Premier League Under-21 league Elite Group.
Ezekiel Fryers, Laste Dombaxe (penalty) and two from
Jack Munns gave Spurs another victory to keep them top
of the group.
The Spurs Under-18s lost 2-3 away to Stoke City today in
the FA Premier League Under-18 league Elite Group.
Nathan Oduwa and Ruben Lameiras (penalty) were
Tottenham's goal-scorers.
The Daily Mail claims Real Madrid Director of Football
Zinedine Zidane was in the crowd on Thursday to watch

Jon Obika has extended his contract until 2014 and
has joined Charlton Athletic on loan until the end of the
season.
The Spurs NextGen team will next play Sporting Lisbon in the
last eight of the competition, but while Spurs are at home,

place in goal for the Europa League trip to Lyon tomorrow.
Younes Kaboul, Tom Huddlestone and Sandro are all still out

trip, with three fans hospitalised after being attacked in a

Steven Caulker's two match ban for England Under-21s
that arose from the away match against Serbia has been
over-turned by UEFA and he is now free to play again.
Tom Ince will still have to serve a one match ban. The
Serbian Under-21s have to play two games behind closed doors
(increased from one) and one of their players will now be
banned for three matches instead of two. The Serbian
FA still have a £65,000 fine and one of their coaches has
been banned for two years for his violent acts.

The BBC reported that Spurs almost completed the signing of
Brazil striker Leandro Damiao on transfer deadline
day. The club had agreed terms with Internacional to
bring the Olympic silver medallist to White Hart Lane, when
the Brazilian club decided at 17:00 that they were not
willing to let him move until the summer.
Aaron Lennon came on as a 75th minute substitute for
England in their 2-1 win over Brazil in a friendly at
Wembley tonight. Kyle Walker was an unused
substitute.
Wales beat Austria 2-1 at Cardiff in a friendly tonight with
Gareth Bale playing the whole game and scoring the
first, while making the second goal..
Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen both played
90 minutes of Belgium's 2-1 friendly home victory over

and Younes Kaboul injured, both with knee problems,
Spurs have almost a full squad to choose from, although
Emmanuel Adebayor is still away on African Cup of
Nations duty. Tom Huddlestone is fit again
after having calf muscle stiffness and is available for
selection.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION TEAM NEWS : - George Thorne will
miss the rest of the season and maybe the start of next
season with knee ligament damage, picked up in the game
against Everton on Wednesday, while Peter Odemwingie has
been told to stay away from the club for a week following
his unauthorised trip to Loftus Road to try and push through
a transfer to QPR.
Development team midfielder Tomislav Gomelt has
joined Espanyol on loan until the end of the season.
Striker Harry Kane has been recalled from his loan at
Norwich City.
Reading made a deadline day attempt to sign their former
player Gylfi Sigurdsson with three bids, which were
all turned down by Spurs.
Tottenham Under-21s Elite league fixtures against Manchester
United have been changed, with the home game at Hotspur Way
taking place on Friday 15th February with a 12:00 kick off.
The away game will now kick off at 19:00 on Monday 15th
April at Moss Lane, the home of Altrincham FC.
Tottenham's Premier League squad list was announced today,
with all the club's senior players on it, including
Sandro and David Bentley. There are 56
players (including Tom Carroll, Steven Caulker, Zeki
Fryers, Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard) on the
list of Under-21s and scholars.
