Tottenham's home game with Stoke City has been moved to
Wednesday 21st March with a 19:45 kick off to accommodate
the FA Cup Sixth Round ties taking place on the original
date of the game.
Scott Parker captained England in their 2-3 friendly
defeat by Holland at Wembley tonight.
Bongani Khumalo and Steven Pienaar played for
South Africa against Senegal in a 0-0 friendly draw in
Durban.
Louis Saha was a 70th minute substitute in the French
side in their 2-1 away friendly win against Germany tonight.
Croatia's 1-3 home defeat in a friendly featured Vedran
Corluka (substituted after 29 minutes), Luka Modric
(substituted after 72 minutes) and Niko Kranjcar (a
46th minute substitute).
Ryan Nelsen was New Zealand's captain in their 2-3
home friendly defeat by Jamaica.
Sandro was in the Brazil side that beat
Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-1 in a friendly match in Switzerland.
Colombia beat Mexico 2-0 in Miami in a friendly and
Giovani dos Santos played the whole game for Mexico.
Steven Caulker scored for England U21 in their 4-0
friendly win against Belgium U21 at Middlesbrough tonight.
Danny Rose also played and Adam Smith was an
unused substitute.
Tottenham and Sainsbury's have announced a partnership in
the redevelopment of Northumberland Park, with a new 70,000
sq. feet store to be built into the end of the new ground.
Please note that the Victoria Line will be closed along it's
whole length on Sunday when Spurs host Manchester United.

been moved to Sunday 8th May with a 14:00 kick off to avoid
the FA Cup final on the previous day. However, the
game is subject to move for live coverage or should either
side be involved in the FA Cup Final.
Scott Parker has been named England's Player of the
Year, voted for by the fans through the FA website.
Harry Kane scored for England Under-19s in their 2-0
win over the Czech Republic at Leyton Orient
tonight in a friendly.
Kenneth McEvoy was on the score-sheet for the
Republic of Ireland Under-19s in their 1-1 away draw with
Turkey.
A young Spurs XI beat the Nike Academy (a team made up of
players released from professional clubs) 2-0 at Spurs Lodge
today, with the goals scored by Cristian Ceballos and
Nathan Byrne.

Following Kyle Walker's ankle injury picked up
yesterday, Adam Smith has been recalled form his loan
spell at Leeds United to provide cover at right back.
The injury had forced Kyle Walker to withdraw from
the England squad for their game against Holland at Wembley
on Wednesday and Rafael van der Vaart took a kick on
the foot, so has had to pull out of the Dutch squad for the
match.

It is being reported in the Sun and Sunday Mirror that if
Harry Redknapp goes to take the England job, he will
want Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan to join him.
The Sun reckons Spurs are preparing a three year deal to
tempt Redknapp to stay at White Hart Lane, but with the FA
already considering the £5 million release clause he has in
his current contract, a possible £10 million compensation
package might make them look elsewhere.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - Spurs are happy to
welcome Benoit Assou-Ekotto (groin operation),
Rafael van der Vaart (calf), Luka Modric (flu)
and Emmanuel Adebayor (knee) back to fitness and they
rejoin the squad for Sunday's trip to Highbury, while
Ledley King will have a late fitness test to make sure
he is ready to line-up against Arsenal. Missing from
the Spurs squad are William Gallas (calf), Sandro
(calf), David Bentley (knee) and Tom Huddlestone
(ankle operation).
ARSENAL TEAM NEWS : - Arsenal will be without Santos
(ankle), Jack Wilshire (ankle), Per Mertesacker (ankle),
Emmanuel Frimpong (knee), Francis Coquelin (hamstring), Abou
Diaby (hamstring) and Sebastien Squilacci (groin), as well
as facing doubts over the involvement of Kieran Gibbs
(groin), Carl Jenkinson (back), Aaron Ramsey (ankle),
Marouane Chamakh (toe) and Laurent Koscielny (knee).
The Daily Telegraph reports that Tottenham are willing to
offer Emmanuel Adebayor a £4 million signing on fee
if he agrees to join the club and fits into the existing
wage structure, as long as they can agree a fee of around £8
million with Manchester City.
The Sun run a story claiming that Jermain Defoe wants
to extend his current deal with Spurs beyond the two years
it has to run and stay at Tottenham for the rest of his
career.
The paper also reckons that Tottenham and Arsenal will
compete for the signature of Sunderland's 27 year old Benin
attacking midfielder Stephane Sessegnon in the
summer.
The Daily Mail reveals that Arsenal turned down the chance
to sign Gareth Bale before he signed for Tottenham
and then on the last day of the January transfer window
deadline Arsene Wenger declined o take Louis Saha to
Highbury, thus allowing his move to Spurs to take place.
Spurs Under-18s won 3-2 away at Bristol City today with
goals from Darren McQueen 2 and Jack Munns.

Should Spurs beat Stevenage in the FA Cup Fifth Round
replay, then the Sixth Round tie at home to Bolton Wanderers
will be staged at White Hart Lane on Saturday 17th March
with a 17:30 kick off with the game to be shown live on ESPN.
The London Evening Standard claim that Spurs will try to
negotiate a deal to keep Emmanuel Adebayor at White
Hart Lane beyond this season and this might break the
Tottenham wage structure, with Luka Modric believed
to be offered £100,000 a week to sign a new deal .
Winger Andros Townsend has returned from his spell on
loan at Leeds United, where he was said to be unable to
settle and has gone straight on loan to Chris Hughton's
Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season.
MK Dons are keen to take David Bentley on loan for
the rest of the season, but have not yet made a formal move
for the winger according to an interview with manager Karl
Robinson on the BBC website.

The Sunday Telegraph claims that Daniel Levy will
resist the FA's likely attempts to take Harry Redknapp
away from Tottenham by demanding a hefty compensation
package for the Spurs boss. The author - Duncan White
- expanded his article on Sky Sports' Sunday Supplement by
saying that a deal would cost the FA £5 million to cover the
cost of procuring Redknapp from Portsmouth, the remainder of
his current contract being paid up and then the cost of

Spurs have turned down a request by Chris Hughton to
take Danny Rose on loan to Birmingham City it was
reported on TalkSport's radio station this morning.
TalkSport's website claims Spurs are competing with
Juventus, Paris St. Germain and Internazionale for the
signature of Internacional striker Leandro Damiao in
the summer.
American entertainment company AEG have denied that they are
trying to buy out Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis to

Tom Huddlestone will have further surgery on his
ankle on Friday which will rule him out for the remainder of
this season, but will hopefully, mean he will be fit to take
part in the pre-season programme.
Tottenham have agreed a deal with Sao Paolo for the Brazil
Under-20 captain and defender Bruno Uvini to be
invited over for a two month trial, according to the BBC
Football website. The trial is with a view to signing

Jurgen Klinsmann has said that he is happy as the US
manager as he prepares for their World Cup qualification
campaign, according to the London Evening Standard.
The media is reporting that the Belgian press interview with

The Metro claims Spurs and Arsenal will vie for the
signature of Ajax defender Jan Verthongen in the
summer. The 24 year old is seen as a replacement for
Ledley King, who, the paper reports, today failed to
agree a pay-as-you-play contract.
The Daily Mirror is suggesting that the club will move to
make Jurgen Klinsmann the new Tottenham manager
should Harry Redknapp leave to take the England
manager's job and mention Guus Hiddink as another
potential target. However, the Daily Star reckon
David Moyes is top of the list to be the new Spurs boss.

NEWCASTLE UNITED TEAM NEWS : - Yohan Cabaye completes his
three match ban by missing the match at White Hart Lane and
Chiek Tiote is in Africa playing for Ivory Coast. Knee
injury keeps Leon Best out for the rest of the season, Ryan
Taylor was carried off last week and the swelling hasn't
gone down on his ankle yet. Sylvain Marveaux's groin
condition means he cannot play, Shola Ameobi has a knee
injury, Nile Ranger an ankle problem and Steven Taylor a
ruptured Achilles keeping them sidelined.

The Daily Mail claim Spurs will rival Arsenal for the
signing of 18 year old Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal
Lascelles. Arsenal failed in an earlier £5 million
bid for the youngster and the price might be bumped up
because of Tottenham's interest.
The BBC are working on a new show called "The
1952 Show" to tie in with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The
programme looks at how life was back in the fifties and how
much it has changed today. The series is will be broadcasted
on BBC1 throughout the whole of the UK, Monday to Friday
each morning in March 2012.
One of
the short films were are making looks at Leisure in the
1950s and in particular the Spurs Football Fans of the
1950s. Are there any readers out there who were big fans in
the 50s. The Beeb would love them to recount their
Saturday routine, their passion for football, what were the
fans like, general conversation of 50s football and life
back then. If possible, someone who lives nearby the
stadium so we may be able to take them back for a walk
around.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - Aaron Lennon
and Jermain Defoe are both very doubtful with
hamstring injuries, while Rafael van der Vaart's calf
muscle pull will have to be monitored to see if he can play
at Anfield on Monday against Liverpool. Kyle Walker's
groin strain was not as bad as first thought so he should be
fit and is in the squad along with new signings Louis
Saha and Ryan Nelsen. William Gallas
is still out with a calf injury and Tom Huddlestone
continues his rehabilitation from ankle surgery, with
Emmanuel Adebayor also a doubt with an injury picked up
against Wigan Athletic in midweek.
LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS : - Steven Gerrard will return to
the squad after being left out of the Reds game at
Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek, while Luis Suarez is
available again after his suspension for racially abusing
Manchester United's Patrick Evra.
Gareth Bale has been awarded the Premier League
Player of the Moth award for January.
It is reported that Heurelho Gomes turned down the
opportunity to join CSKA Moscow on loan until the end of the
season on the last day of the transfer window.
Spurs have withdrawn from the NextGen competition following
an ineligible player being fielded in the 1-0 quarter final
win over Liverpool on Wednesday. The player is
believed to be 15 year old Frenchman Nabil Bentaleb.
Spurs signed 18 year old Australian midfielder Ginacarlo
Gallifuoco on a two and a half year deal in the transfer
window after he had been on trial during the winter.
The Premier League have moved all fixtures on Saturday 5th
May to Sunday 6th May to avoid the FA Cup Final, so
Tottenham's match at Aston Villa will move to that day.
However, this is still subject to television companies
choosing games for live coverage, which may be moved back to
the Saturday.

Ryan Nelsen, who had his contract paid up from
Blackburn Rovers, leaving him as a free agent.
