   Tottenham have been drawn at home to Crystal Palace in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup and the game will take place on the weekend of 19th/20th/21st February.
   The proposed move for Fulham striker Moussa Dembele appears to now be off, as Fulham were insistent that the French forward was loaned back to them until the end of the season, while Spurs were keen to have him come to White Hart Lane straight away.

   Tottenham beat Colchester United 4-1 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium this afternoon in the FA Cup Fourth Round.  Click here for a match report.
   Fulham striker Moussa Dembele was having a medical at Tottenham today ahead of a reported GBP 1.5 million move rising to GBP 5 million on conditions being met, although he will return to the Cottagers for the remainder of the season on loan.  It is reported that the West London club wanted either Alex Pritchard, Harry Winks or Nabil Bentlaeb on loan for the rest of the season too, but Spurs held off on this request.
   Manchester United are reported to be interested in signing Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies.  Wouldn't it be easier to just change their name to Tottenham Hotspur ?
   The Under-18s drew 1-1 away at Leicester City in the FA Premier Under-18 League this afternoon, with the goal being scored by Dylan Duncan.

   Mousa Dembele has signed a new contract that will keep him at Tottenham until 2019.
   TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : -  Jan Vertonghen's knee ligament injury will rule him out for a while and he is joined on the sidelines by Ryan Mason (knee), Clinton N'Jie (knee) and Alex Pritchard (ankle).  Mauricio Pochettino is expected to rest some players for the FA Cup tie at Colchester and play some of the fringe squad players.
   Dealing with rumours about Manchester United and Chelsea's interest in him, Mauricio Pochettino has said that he is happy at Tottenham and that he would only leave Spurs for Real Madrid or Barcelona.  Expect those rumours to replace the existing ones soon.
   With the transfer deadline approaching the rumours are getting thicker and faster.  22 year old Paris St. Germain left back Youssouf Sabaly (currently on loan at Nantes) is being touted as a possible late signing, while Mainz midfielder Yunus Malli has revealed that he has a GBP 7 million release clause and this may interest Tottenham.  The deal to secure the signing of Moussa Dembele from Fulham may have to involve a Spurs player making the opposite journey, with Harry Winks and Alex Pritchard on the Cottagers list of preferred options.
   Former Spurs midfielder Sandro has joined West Bromwich Albion on loan with a view to a permanent seal in the summer.
   Non-executive director, Sir Keith Mills will be relinquishing his role with the club to concentrate on his business interests.
   Connor Wickham has received a three match ban form the FA for his elbow on Jan Vertonghen in last Saturday's match at Crystal Palace despite appealing against the charge of violent conduct.

   England winger Andros Townsend has joined Newcastle United for a fee reported to be GBP 12 million.
   Spurs are being reported to be ready to sign Fulham striker Moussa Dembele, West Bromwich Albion's Sadio Berahino (or not) or Barcelona's Sandro Ramirez according to which website you read.  The Daily Express has Spurs and Arsenal both vying for the signature of Emanuel Mammana, the 19 year old River Plate defender, who would cost GBP 7.5 million.  it is rumoured that Spurs had scouts at the Eintracht Frankfurt v Wolfsburg match on Sunday, but it is not known who they might have been watching.
   Some reports in the media today reckon Chelsea have Mauricio Pochettino as one of four names on their list of intended managerial targets for the summer.
   Tottenham Under-21s game against Middlesbrough will now take place on Wednesday 6th April with a 19.00 kick off at Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium.
The Under-21s away match at Reading will now take place on Thursday 3rd March at Wycombe Wanderers’ ground with the kick-off at 19.00.

   Jan Vertonghen may be out for a couple of months after suffering medial knee ligament damage in the incident when elbowed in the face by Connor Wickham in Saturday's match at Crystal Palace.
   Today's transfer rumours link Tottenham with moves for Mainz's Turkish midfielder Yunus Malli, whose move to Borussia Dortmund has collapsed; Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz of Galatasaray; forward Alvaro Morata of Juventus, although this move appears to have been rejected by the Italian club; Saido Berahino for GBP 18 million; Victor Wanyama of Southampton; FC Sion and Gambian left back Pa Modou Jagne and Callum Wilson the Bournemouth striker.
   Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has signed a contract until the end of the season for Burnley.

   MEHSTG's no-spin story ... Former Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov has interviewed himself on Facebook after getting sent off for PAOK in the local derby with AEK Athens at the weekend.

   It appears that Tottenham and Newcastle United have come to an agreement over the transfer of Andros Townsend and the winger will move to Tyneside for a fee reported to be in the region of GBP10.5 million.
   The big rumour today is that Spurs are making a loan or permanent move for 18 year old Paris Saint Germain striker Jean-Kevin Augustin.
   Young defender Connor Ogilvie has signed a new contract with Spurs until 2017.
   Tottenham's Under-21s lost 0-2 to an experienced Liverpool at Chester FC tonight.
   Crystal Palace forward Connor Wickham is to face a FA charge of violent conduct for elbowing Jan Vertonghen in the face in Saturday's match with Spurs.
   Arsenal supporting Karen Brady, who is now the vice-chairman to David Sullivan and David Gold at West Ham United, has been embarrassed by the London Legacy Development Corporation's revelation in an appeal against having to tell the world about the arrangements in their deal with West Ham United that the tenant club do not have the power of veto over other clubs sharing their new ground.  Therefore, the path is clear for Spurs and Chelsea to pursue a ground share of the Olympic Stadium should they so wish now that holes have been shot in the Irons defence.

   Tottenham have been chosen for live TV coverage and the following matches have been moved to accommodate that.
Manchester City (away) - kick off has been moved and the match will now be on Sunday 14th February with kick-off at 16.15 (Sky Sports)
Arsenal (home) - kick-off will now be at 12.45 on Saturday 5th March (BT Sport)
   Valencia are expressing a reported interest in Federico Fazio, who looks like he will be leaving during the current transfer window.  Tottenham are linked in The Metro to a move for GBP 48.5 million rated Juventus striker Alvaro Morata ... doesn't sound like a Spurs signing at that price, however good he is.
   A leaked copy of Real Madrid's contract to sign Gareth Bale has been posted on the internet and it reveals that the Spanish club paid approximately €100.75 million for the Welsh midfielder, although Real waived the transfer fee due to them for Rafael van der Vaart too, so that makes it approximately €111 million.  The contract also reveals that Spurs have an option to buy him back if any other club makes an offer of GBP 86 million.  Had the La Liga club sold Bale back to a Premier League side before 1st September 2015, they would have had to have stumped up GBP 10 million to Tottenham.
   Tottenham's Nigerian youngster Musa Yahaya has signed for Portuguese Second Division side Portimonense until the end of the season.

   Kyle Walker-Peters is on trial with Roda JC in Holland with a view to a loan to the Dutch club Spurs have set up a partnership with.  Spurs, Manchester United and Chelsea are all keen on GBP 15 million rated Lokomotiv Moscow striker and Senegal international Oumar Niasse, while 18 year old Charlton Athletic forward Ademola Lookman is another target for Spurs according to the Times.

   Spurs are once more linked with Moussa Dembele of Fulham, Ezequiel Lavezzi of Paris St. Germain for GBP4.4 million although the player would prefer a move to Italy and a new rumour concerning Tottenham and Liverpool being interested in 18 year old Venezuelan striker Adalberto Penaranda of Udinese, but is currently playing for Granada on loan.
   The Daily Mail claims that Spurs have beaten four other clubs to the signing of Ebbsfleet United's 17 year old midfielder Shilow Tracey, who had been on tour with the Under-18 side in Florida recently for the IMG Cup and will complete his transfer in the next few days.

   Mauricio Pochettino may be cooling any interest in signing West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino after commenting that players who will add more quality to the group and not disrupt it will be signed in January and there may not be any incoming players during this transfer window.  One player rumoured to be a keen signing for Spurs is Daniel Didavi, the 25 year old VfB Stuttgart forward, who can leave in the summer under the Bosman ruling, but his club might wish to bring in some cash for him by selling him now, as Tottenham did with Lewis Holtby when they signed him six months early.
