SIGNINGS.
Spurs have signed Everton striker Louis Saha on a
free transfer on an 18 month deal.
DEPARTURES.
Steven Pienaar has re-joined his former club Everton
on loan until the end of the season.
Sebastien Bassong has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers
on loan until the end of the season.
Roman Pavlyuchenko has signed for Lokomotiv Moscow
for a fee rumoured to be around £8 million.
Vedran Corluka has joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan
until the end of the season.
Adam Smith was recalled from his loan spell at MK
Dons and immediately loaned out again to Leeds United until
the end of the season.
RUMOURS.
Spurs were rumoured to be making Kyle Naughton's loan
to Norwich City permanent, but this did not happen.
The Daily Telegraph was linking Spurs with a last day bid
for Werder Bremen midfielder Marko Marin.
Juventus winger Milos Krasic was an option, but a
deal to bring him to Tottenham on loan could not be agreed.
With Tottenham playing Wigan Athletic rumours started
circulating that they would sign striker Hugo Rodellega
after the game, but although he was an unused substitute
the forward stayed with Wigan for the journey back to the
North-West.
Rumours of a move for Blackburn Rovers defender Ryan
Nelsen also failed to materialise.
Away from transfer news ... Tottenham today announced their
intention to continue with their development of a new
stadium just yards from the existing White Hart Lane ground.
Having agreed a financial assistance package with Haringey
and the Mayor of London of around £27 million to aid the
infra-structure works around the ground, Spurs are
committing themselves to the area and will improve the
street scene around the ground and allow improvements to
local train stations.
On loan midfielder Tom Carroll scored in a 2-3 defeat
on his debut for Derby County against Barnsley.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - Gareth Bale has
got over his thigh injury and will be ready for selection
for tomorrow night's game against Wigan Athletic.
However, there are doubts over Jermain Defoe and
Aaron Lennon, who both picked up hamstring strains in
the FA Cup game at Watford on Friday. Tottenham are
still without Tom Huddlestone (ankle), while
Sandro and William Gallas (both calf) miss out.
Ledley King will train and a decision on his fitness
will be left until the last minute.
WIGAN
ATHLETIC TEAM NEWS : - New signing Jean Beausejour
could feature in the game at White Hart Lane tomorrow, but
defender Antolin Alcaraz is no fit to play. Wigan will
welcome the returning Shaun Maloney and David Jones, as they
seek points to lift them off the bottom of the league.
Midfielder John Bostock has gone on loan to Sheffield
Wednesday until the end of the season.
Striker Kudus Oyenuga has joined St. Johnstone on
loan until the end of the season if he is able to gain
international clearance.
Goalkeeper David Button will stay on at Doncaster
Rovers for another month on loan.
Midfielder Tom Carroll has joined Derby County on
loan until the end of the season.
The Metro claims that QPR boss Mark Hughes will look to make
a late move for defender Sebastien Bassong before the
transfer window closes.

Tottenham have been drawn away to Stevenage in the Fifth
Round of the FA Cup. The tie will be played around the
weekend of 18th/19th February.
The Telegraph report that Spurs will have to move quickly if
they are to realise the signing of Leandro Damiao, as
there is interest in the £22 million rated Internacional
striker from money bags clubs Paris St. Germain and Malaga.
The People claim that Spurs have been offered the forward
for £20 million.

Following the outrage in yesterday's game against Manchester
City, Mario Balotelli has been charged with violent conduct
for his stamp on Scott Parker's head.
Some of Tottenham's fixtures have been moved for live TV
coverage.
The home game against set originally for Saturday 3rd March
has been moved to Sunday 4th March with a 16:10 p.m. kick
off for Sky Sports.
Our away game at Everton will still be played on Saturday
10th march, but will now kick off at 17:30 p.m. and be shown
on ESPN.
The Chelsea away game will now kick off at 12:45 p.m. on
Saturday 24th March so Sky Sports can screen the match.
The home match with Swansea City is moved to Sunday 1st
April and will be shown on Sky Sports, kicking off at 16:00
p.m.
Steven Pienaar is angry that Spurs are asking £6
million for his transfer, thus putting off Queens Park

In the Sunday People they report that Spurs are signing up

Manchester United are set to go all out to buy Luka
Modric in the summer with a bid of £50 million according
to the Mail on Sunday.
The Metro reckons that Ajax's Belgian defender Jan
Vertonghen has alerted Arsenal, Manchester United and
Tottenham that he is willing to move on in the summer.
The Mail on Sunday report that Mark Hughes will return to
Tottenham with a £3.5 million offer to sign Steven
Pienaar for Queens Park Rangers.
Niko Kranjcar has been the subject of a £3 million
bid by QPR, but Harry Redknapp has refused to allow
the deal to go ahead at the moment, the Sun says.
Harry Redknapp will be at Southwark Crown Court
tomorrow morning at the start of the case where he faces

TalkSport's website claims Tottenham and Arsenal are both
interested in signing Moussa Sow, a Senegalese
striker playing for Lille. The 25 year old would cost
around £20 million.
The Daily
Express carries an article stating that Blackburn Rovers
need to sell players before they can buy in January, thus
the paper infers that this increases Tottenham's chances of
bringing in Christopher Samba from Ewood Park, while
listening to offers of Sebastien Bassong, who would
make way for the Congolese international.
In the Daily Mirror, they claim Spurs will make £6 million
bids for both Christopher Samba and Junior Hoilett
of Blackburn Rovers, as well as being ready to sell
Vedran Corluka to West Ham United for £1.5 million and
looking to sell Steven Pienaar, Niko Kranjcar and
Sebastien Bassong.
The Sun reckon Burnley want to sign Spurs defender Adam
Smith, currently on loan at MK Dons, but Ipswich Town
and Leeds United are both said to be interested.

Tottenham are said by the Daily Mail to be interested in
West Ham United centre half James Tomkins, who they
believe is worth £2.5 million.
The Daily Express reports that Spurs may nip in ahead of
Glasgow Celtic to snap up goalkeeper Fraser Foster.
Currently on loan from Newcastle United, the Scottish
Premier League side have not moved to make the deal
permanent despite having first option on the goalie, but
Foster is thought to prefer a return to the Premier League
in a deal that may cost £2 million.
Harry Redknapp said that Michael Dawson will
play against Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup Third Round on
Saturday and Aaron Lennon may also make a comeback
form his hamstring injury.
Former Spurs defender Mark Stimson has left the post
of Kettering Town manager after carrying out his duties for
four months under extreme financial restrictions.
