Bryan Robson was whingeing about the penalty that Spurs got and one that WBA didn't get as the reason the tie will go to a replay.  He claimed that Jermain Defoe was not touched by Darren Purse, thus conning the ref, while Earnshaw was pulled back when the officials did not see the incident.  However, Martin Jol has defended the Spurs striker by saying he does not dive and would not have gone down unless he was brought down.
The Sun claims, in a story they are running today, that Tottenham will complete the loan signing of Fabricio Coliccini, the 22 year old Argentine centre half, today from AC Milan until the end of the season and then have a £3 million option to make the deal permanent.  Later claims on Sky Sports website state that Coliccini would be joining Deportivo La Coruna.
The article claims that Spurs will also sign wide midfielder Andy Reid from Nottingham Forest and defender Tom Huddlestone from Derby County before the end of the transfer window on Monday.
Confusion reigned after news broke at lunchtime that an offer of £4 million plus Brett Ormerod and Darren Kenton from SCBC had been accepted for Nottingham Forest midfielder Andy Reid.  The Forest chairman said, "We have had a number of derisory offers from one other Premiership club - none of which were acceptable."  That was Tottenham Hotspur.  Gary Megson reckons that there is no agreement with Spurs and therefore, we are not at liberty to speak to the player.  However, any deal would involve the agreement of the players involved on both Forest's and SCBC's sides.
In a post-match interview by SCBC manager Harry Redknapp, he said that his club would not be signing him and that he was one million percent sure that Reid would be joining a club that started with a T and an O.
However, it has transpired that Spurs have made a bid for the much sought after Forest defender Michael Dawson.  It is believed that the player would cost around £3 million to £4 million.
Crystal Palace winger Wayne Routledge has said he wants to leave the club before the transfer window closes as he has fallen out with chairman Simon Jordan, who said he was disappointed that players listen to their "idiot" agents on Soccer AM last Saturday.

Spurs are also said to have agreed a fee for 21 year old Rotterdam Excelsior forward Mounir El Hamdaoui.  The striker had been on trial with Spurs and the club were discussing personal terms before completing the transfer.  Having played for Holland's Under-21 side, he will not need a work permit, but he has now committed his international future to Morocco.
The Guardian claim that Spurs have made a £1 million now and £1 million later bid for Derby County's 18 year old central defender Tom Huddlestone.  The England Under-19 international has attracted a lot of attention from Premiership clubs, but Spurs seem to be trying to steal a march by getting in an early bid.
Sky Sports reckon Spurs are giving a trial to 28 year old former Arsenal keeper Rami Shaaban.  He has told reporters that he has been training with Spurs and would welcome a deal as he still has contacts and an apartment in London.
Radek Cerny is another player Spurs are keen on.  The Slavia Prague goalkeeper is a player who is expected to be the centre of discussions when the two ENIC run clubs get together over the next couple of days.  The 31 year old has won three Czech caps and would add experienced back-up for Paul Robinson, now that Kasey Keller has left the club.

Spurs are entering into the "Wear something yellow to West Brom" campaign for the FA Cup Fourth Round match on Saturday 29th January at the Hawthorns.  They are knocking 33% off the cost of the yellow third shirt bought in club shops or by mail order (free next day delivery too) especially for the occasion.  Don't forget, if you are going to the game, make your presence known in the Smethwick end by turning it into a sea of yellow.
Spurs appear to be ready to drop out of negotiations with Crystal Palace for Wayne Routledge.  Spurs increased their offer on Saturday to £2 million, but have been told by the Eagles chairman that it is not enough and that they should significantly increase it if they are interested in buying the 20 year old winger.  Tottenham have put their price on the player's head and will not be drawn into an auction for him.

Buscan Icons Australian winger Ahmad Elrich, previously linked with a move to Tottenham, is being said to be interested in moving to Crystal Palace as a replacement for Wayne Routledge.
Contrary to some reports, Reto Ziegler has said that he is not homesick in London and that having his mother with him and living close to Spurs Lodge allows him to concentrate on his football.  However, he suffered a hamstring pull yesterday in the Crystal Palace match and could be out for 2-6 weeks.
