Ijah Anderson Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Jimmy Archibald Made 25 appearances for Spurs between August 1919 and June 1922, scoring once.  Although he signed for Southend in September 1927, he failed to make an appearance for them before joining Margate three months later.
Dean Austin Another full back Spurs signed from Southend.  Had begun his career at St. Albans, but made a name for himself as a defender who played 96 times for United and scored twice.  Came to Spurs in June 1992 for 525,000 and played 150 games for the first team.
Fred Barnett A product of Tottenham's nursery club Northfleet and made his league debut in April 1923, scoring one in 16 games after hitting 18 goals in 155 reserve matches.  Bought for 100 by Southend in July 1927 and spent five years at the Essex club making 187 senior appearances and scoring 38 goals.
Peter Beadle Spent a 1994 loan spell at Southend when at Spurs.
Sammy Bell Having played for Luton Town and Norwich City , Sammy scored six in 16 matches for the Spurs first team and after joining Southend in May 1931, he netted 17 goals during 71 appearances for his new club.
Ken Bennett Younger brother of Spurs legend Les, Ken played six games during the Second World War and scored once before he moved to Southend and scored 10 in 50 matches for them.
Ted Birnie A half back with Spurs in 1910-11, Eddie was manager with Southend from 1929-1934.
Len Bolan Signed from Lowestoft Town, Bolan hit 3 goals in 10 games for Spurs and 22 in 59 reserve matches before he cost Southend 400 in October 1935 and scored 27 goals in 141 matches for the Shrimpers.  Retired in August 1940.
Sammy Brooks First player to play in the Football League for both clubs as he started his Southend career.
Guy Butters The defender went on loan to United in 1990.
Mel Capleton Youth team goalkeeper at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Bill Cartwright A full back who played at Spurs from 1913 to 1915, Cartwright went on to coach at Root Hall in the 1920s.
Eddie Clayton Midfielder who signed from Eton Manor in December 1957 and played 103 first team matches with twenty goals.  Left White Hart Lane in March 1968 to join United and scored 16 times in 71 league matches for them.
Robert Codner Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Peter Collins A centre half in the 1970s, when his career ended through injury, Collins went into coaching at Southend.
Arthur Crompton In his 15 first team appearances for Tottenham, Crompton scored twice and then Joined Southend in 1930, where he went on to net 20 goals in 56 league appearances.
Les Dicker Signed by Arthur Rowe in June 1951, Les scored twice in 10 league appearances for Tottenham, then added seven goals in 17 matches for Southend.
Dickie Dowsett Played once; scored once.  that was Dowsett's record for Tottenham, having turned out against Aston Villa on 21st August 1954.  Signed from Sudbury Town in May 1952, then left to play for Southend in May 1955, where he scored four times during his 20 game stay there.
Justin Edinburgh Started with Southend and made 37 appearances in their blue shirt before transferring to Tottenham for 150,000 in July 1990.  Spent 10 years at the Lane making 276 appearances for Tottenham, before he finished his playing career at Portsmouth.
Craig Edwards Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Danny Foot Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Mark Gower Came through the youth system at Spurs, making two appearances for the first team in the League Cup against Brentford in 1994, but sustained an injury and moved on to Barnet and then joined Southend in August 2003 for 25,000.
Danny Greaves A schoolboy player with Spurs in 1978-79, Danny (son of Jimmy), signed for Southend and scored 14 goals from 49 games in the League for the Shrimpers.  Left to play for Maldon Town and Cambridge United before returning to manage the Essex club's youth team.
Almer Hall Appeared 21 times for Tottenham and scored three goals, before moving to United in May 1931, where he got ten goals in 37 games.  Later played for Bradford City and West Ham United.

Scott Houghton Young winger who made an immediate impact for the first team at Spurs scoring two goals in 14 substitute appearances, but faded from the scene, thus he left to join Southend where he played 79 times and scored nine goals.
Ronnie Henry Young defender who did not make a first team appearance for Spurs, but spent a loan period at Southend in 2003.
Roy Hollis Came to Spurs from Norwich City in December 1952 and only played four games, but scored three goals.  Went to Southend in February 1954, where he went onto to break the club's scoring record of 120 goals, from 240 appearances.
Charlie Jones Another Spur who signed for the Shrimpers in May 1931, having played in 18 games for Spurs.  At Roots Hall, he got two goals in his 22 appearances as a centre-half.  Originally joined Tottenham from Ebbw Vale.
Stephen Kelly Young defender who had a loan spell at Roots Hall in 2003.
Michael Kightly Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.  Then left to join Grays Athletic before being snapped up by Wolverhampton Wanderers.
James Lawson Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
David Lee Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Colin Lyman Played but once for Southend in April 1934 before he moved to Northampton Town, where he stayed for three years and then joined Spurs in October 1937.  Played 83 games for the first team and netted 19 goals.
Danny Maddix Came through the youth ranks at Spurs, but spent a spell at Roots Hall on loan in 1986.
Kevin Maher Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Tom Mason Signed professional for Spurs in December 1911 and was a reserve team regular until his debut in February 1912.  Scored once, in our 1912 victory over Liverpool that was the last for 72 years at Anfield, in seven games for the senior side.  Joined Southend for 25 in February 1913, but lasted less than a year before going on to Sittingbourne.
Paul Moran Southend took the Spurs winger on loan in 1991.
Joe North Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Seth Plum An amateur with Spurs, who went on to play for Charlton Athletic and Chelsea, before appearing 10 times for the Shrimpers in 1927-28 before he was injured and retired.  Won an England amateur cap.
Gary Poole Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Terry Pryer Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Albert Purdy Centre half who played for Tottenham in 1920-21 and moved to Charlton before joining Southend.  In three years with the Blues, he played 43 times.
Arthur Purdy Was a keeper at Spurs for two years, but failed to make the first team and moved on to Luton before playing two games for United in 1926-27.
Chris Ramsey Spurs Academy coach, who played 13 games for the Shrimpers at the end of his career.
Martin Robinson Scored two goals in his six appearances for the Spurs first team and on leaving Spurs played for Charlton Athletic, Reading (loan) and Gillingham.  Joined Southend in July 1987 and scored 14 goals in 56 appearances in the league during his two year stay at the club.

Isaac Spelman Right half who came to Tottenham as part of the deal that took Bell and hall to Roots Hall in May 1931.  Had played 43 league matches for Southend, scoring three goals and got two in 32 games for the Spurs first team before playing 11 Tottenham games in the first season of war-time.  In May 1946, he left to play for Hartlepools United.
Micky Stead Spurs youngster who made 15 first team appearances before joining Southend in September 1978.  His 341 matches for the Shrimpers spanned seven years at Roots Hall.
Alec Steel Alec, one of the three brothers who played for Tottenham, signed as a professional at the end of January 1910, but only played once for the first team before joining United in 1913 where he went on to make 63 appearances.
Mark Stimson Full back who made only two first team appearances for Spurs before moving onto Southend, where he had 56 first team appearances.
Peter Taylor Came through the Southend youth system and signed professional for the Shrimpers in January 1971 to play 75 league matches with 12 goals before he signed for Crystal Palace in October 1973.  Signed for Tottenham in 1976 and made 140 appearances netting 33 goals.  Completed his career with spell sat Oldham Athletic (loan), Orient and Exeter City.  Managed Southend from December 1993 to February 1995, then was Director of Football until the end of that year.
Derek Thame Signed from Whitehaven, Thame didn't play for the first team in his six years with Tottenham, but went to Roots Hall in May 1962 and made seven league appearances for Southend.
Martin Thomas Bristol Rovers keeper who had a loan spell at Spurs in 1982-83 and at Southend in the same season.  Played eight reserve games and a first team friendly for Spurs and six first team games for United.
Stuart Thurgood Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.
Andy Turner Young Spurs winger went to get first team experience at Southend on loan in 1996.
Daniel Webb Youth team player at Spurs, who went on to play for Southend.  Son of former Southend manager David Webb.
Charlie Whitchurch Signed from West Ham United in January 1946, Charlie hit six goals in 25 matches for the Tottenham first team, before moving onto the Essex club in July 1947, where he scored five times in 17 league games.
Archie Wilson A youngster at Spurs from 1909, Wilson failed to make a first team appearance at Spurs, but joined Southend in March 1911.  Made 10 guest appearances for Spurs in WWI between November 1915 and March 1916.
