Tottenham came from
behind to equalise against a strong Southampton side at Spurs Lodge in
the FA Premier Academy League.
A Saints goal after 20 minutes gave
them the lead, as Jake Sinclair took the ball around Miles to scre, but
Tottenham hit back when Jack Munns finished a one-on-one with the
visiting goalkeeper leaving the score level at half-time.
While the first half had been a
little cagey, the second was open with a chance at one end being
followed by a chance at the other. There were disallowed goals for
both sides and Massimo Luongo hit a fierce shot against the post, but
there was no further scoring and the side from the top of Group A had to
settle for a point against Spurs.

on at Southampton to win 3-0 in their Premier Academy League match.
There were a few chances that went
begging for Spurs before Paul-Jose M'Poku scored from a free kick after
25 minutes. A shot from Harry Kane struck the bar before Kudus
Oyenuga took down a long ball and finished powerfully from the edge of
the box with an hour on the clock.
Eight minutes later, Spurs hit
Southampton on the break and M'Poku played Paul McBride through to hit
the net with a left foot shot making the final score 3-0 to Tottenham.

Tottenham won through this Third Round FA
Youth Cup tie with a single seconds half
goal in a game of many chances.
Spurs
opened up on the attack with a shot from
Danny Rose, but a closer call came in the
15th minute, as David Hutton's free-kick
bounced down off the crossbar and out.
Butler saved from Paterson, before Pernecky
had to tip over Dean Parrett's deflected
effort.
Tottenham
were indebted to Butler when Leigh Mills
sliced a volleyed clearance from a corner at
his own goal and the keeper pushed it aside
and Hutton completed the clearance on the
far post. Olsen drove a volley wide
before nodding down Parrett's cross for Rose
to dive in and head wide. A flurry of yellow
cards before the break saw Argent, Kasim and
Imudia all enter the ref's notebook, but
once more the Spurs keeper kept Tottenham in
it with a full length stop from McLaggon and
as Paterson set up McNish, Butcher got back
to get in the way of the goal-bound shot.
Turning round with no score on the board,
Spurs set about attacking the home defence
and Rose forced the Saints' keeper to a save
from distance, while the winger's fierce
cross shortly after was just too far ahead
of Hutton to reach. As Spurs pushed
forward the SCBC defence got more desperate
and a free-kick conceded on the edge of the
area saw Berchiche curl it a foot wide.
Imudia prevented Livermore getting shot away
as he controlled Parrett's pass, but Danny
Rose's through pass freed Olsen on the hour
to face the keeper one on one.
Pernecky stopped the Norwegian's first
effort, but he coolly took the ball down and
slid the ball into the net to make it 1-0.
Three
minutes later, Imudia fouled Parrett and saw
yellow for the second time, so was dismissed
and there was a brief flash of resistance,
as White drove a shot at goal, but a
deflection took it away for a corner.
After that, it was all Spurs, with Rose
going close and Pernecky reacting quickly to
palm away Livermore's deflected shot.
Right
at the end, substitute Jon Obika just failed
to keep down his header from Parrett's cross
as the match finished with a Spurs win

overcome Southampton 2-1 in the FA Premier
Academy League.
Pekhart hit the target after 27 minutes to
give Spurs the lead, but the Saints equalised
five minutes before half-time, but Tottenham
secured a winning lead when Pekhart seized on
a defensive blunder and stuck the ball away on
52 minutes.

Spurs beat a
Southampton side who were top of Group A in the FA
Premier Academy League.
Jacques Maghoma
lobbed home off the crossbar for what turned out to be
the winning goal in the first half.
Spurs
were a
little shaky in the first 10 minutes of the match, but
a ball over the defence found Jacques Maghoma with
only the keeper to beat and his lob hit the crossbar.
Fortunately for Tottenham, the So'ton keeper carried
the ball over the line as he tried to save the
rebound.
Jamie Davis
broke through on the keeper, but put his shot just
wide of the post.
In the second
half, Southampton had more possession, but Maghoma
cut in from the left, but failed to beat the keeper
and then David Hutton did the same.
Teams :
Spurs - Button,
Smith, Martin, Lewis, Mills, Peprah, Davis, Wells, Hamed, Maghoma,
Hughton (Hutton 71).

Spurs were slow out of
the blocks and did not get going in the first half, allowing the
Southampton Under-19s to gain a 1-0 half-time lead, but in the

out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Spurs Lodge against Southampton.
It was James Lee who put Tottenham
ahead in just five minutes, but the visitors hit back to make it 1-1
before half-time and then went ahead into the second half. A
corner was bouncing about in the box, when Paul O'Donaghue netted from
close range and when Saints regained the lead almost immediately, it was
left to Lee Barnard to beat the keeper when put through by Lee Barnett
to tie the score up at 3-3.
