john pratt - fact file

 

Born : -  Hackney, East London

Supported Orient as a youngster.

Attended Clark's College in Enfield and was coached by Terry Medwin.

Played for London Schools and spent a year with Brentford's youth team.

Worked for three months as an import/export clerk before engaging in a career in football. 

Joined Spurs as an amateur and then signed professional at 17½ in November 1965.

Debut v Arsenal on 24th March 1969 at Highbury.

Taken off in the League Cup Final of 1973 v Norwich City.

1971 - Lived at Hackney, but moved to Ongar.  

Drove a Triumph 1300.

Played cricket for the Crown and Manor club and played table tennis.

Married June 26th 1971 with Tony Want as his best man.

Son born in 1975.  Daughter born in March 1978.
