Dominating possession, Spurs Youth failed to turn it into goals, leaving Orient to earn a point from this meeting in the South-East Counties Division 1.

A defensive mix-up allowed Orient to go ahead just before the half-time whistle, but it took Tottenham until late in the game for John Oliver to run down the right, beating two Orient men, before crossing to Ray Clarke, who buried his header.  There was almost a winner for Spurs, when Graeme Souness hit the bar with seconds left.
