          Notable Dates

1920 First away win over Birmingham and the end of a season that saw them crowned as champions of Division 2.

Full back Bob MacDonald makes his first appearance for the club.

1926 Jimmy Skinner plays his last game for Spurs.
1948 Johnny Jordan makes his last appearance in a Tottenham shirt.
1963 Tottenham progressed to the final of the European Cup Winners Cup with a 5-2 aggregate win.
1982 Ian Crook makes his debut in midfield.
1990 Having fallen on hard times, Spurs legend Danny Blanchflower was awarded a benefit match in which Spurs took on a Northern Ireland XI.  It was a fun game more than anything else and it was made more so by Paul Gascoigne, who let his comedic talents run free.  He was making all sorts of gags, from wearing outsized clown shoes to taking a penalty kick by putting his right foot around the back of his left to score !!  It was a marvellous night and the crowd who turned up to see it were treated to a very enjoyable match and the money went to help Danny in his last few years of life.
1993 Lee Hodges made his debut for Tottenham in this match, coming off the substitute's bench.  
1999 Ledley King plays his first game for Tottenham in the left back position.

Roger Nilsen plays for the club for the last time.

2005 Radek Cerny plays his first game for Tottenham in goal, coming on for an injured Paul Robinson, who missed his first Premier League action of the season, having previously played every minute.

Andy Reid scores his first goal in a Spurs shirt.

Stephen Kelly scores his last goal for Tottenham.

The win equals the biggest winning margin over Aston Villa in a home game.

2008 Mark Kendall, goalkeeper 1976-1980, dies.
2010 Jermain Defoe makes his 400th career appearance.
