Spurs finished their pre-season friendlies with a 3-1 home win over Manchester United at Spurs Lodge.

A 25th minute goal from Harry Kane gave Tottenham the lead, sweeping in a right foot shot from inside the area, while seven minutes after, Ronnie Hawkins played a diagonal ball in and Kane took the ball down and played it square for Kudos Oyenuga to knock the ball in.

Manchester United managed to pull a goal back before half-time, but having re-grouped at the interval, Spurs started well and Jessie Waller-Lassen had missed with a shot before Kane was involved again, being fouled in the box for a penalty, which Oyenuga stepped up and converted into the bottom left corner, sending the keeper the wrong way to complete the scoring.

29.08.2009 A quick start by Manchester United took them into an early 2-0 lead at Spurs Lodge, where they ran out 3-1 winners against the Spurs Academy side.

Third and eleventh minute goals put the visitors in control, but Tottenham put in an improved performance in the second period.  A third United goal halfway through the half made it an uphill struggle, but an effort by Harry Kane came back off the woodwork and when Dean Parrett's effort was kept out, Kudos Oyenuga was quick to respond and tuck away the loose ball for a consolation goal.

A slow start to the second half by Spurs saw United cash in by scoring twice and although Tottenham pushed for an equaliser, it did not come.
