Spurs finished their FA
Premier Academy season with a 1-0 home win over the Foxes.
Shaquille Coulthirst had a number
of chances in a very good performance for him, while Tottenham made the
majority of openings, but the finishing was not the best on the day, so
it fell to John Bostock to seize on a defensive lapse to fire the ball
into the bottom corner of the net past the City keeper in the 38th
minute.
Leicester failed to trouble
Jordan Archer in the Tottenham goal, only having to make one save in the
second half from Norburn's long range effort, with their long ball game
not reaping any benefits on the day.

Spurs Under-18s had put
in a good performance, but ended up on the wrong end of a 0-1 score-line
when they took on Leicester City away.
An early break saw Jesse Waller-Lassen's
low cross knocked onto the post by a Foxes defender, but the rest of the
first half failed to produce much in the way of goalmouth activity.
Spurs had looked solid and were
holding their own against an older Leicester side, but on the hour, a
break through the middle ended with a shot across Jordan Archer to give
the home team the lead. When Alex Pritchard had an opening and
looked to shoot at goal, he was thwarted when a defender made a last
ditch block to deny him.

Spurs drew their FA Academy Premier League
match at Spurs Lodge with Leicester City after coming back from a goal
behind.
Leicester's physical approach
threw Tottenham at the start of the game and took a lead on the half
hour, when a forward latched onto a big kick up-field from the keeper
and finished well. Spurs almost went in at half-time all square,
when Tom Carroll pulled the ball back from the right wing to Paul Jose
Mpoku, but the striker could not keep his shot down.
It took until the 70th minute
to bring it back to 1-1, when Jake Nicholson and M'Poku linked well and a
cross from the latter found Carroll coming in unmarked at the far post
to knock the ball home.

A rare defeat for the Under-18
team came at Leicester City, who ran out 3-2 winners in the FA Academy
Premier League.
It all looked good for Tottenham, who took a 2-0 lead
into the second half, but they had lost goalkeeper Jamie Butler with a
suspected broken nose, when he bravely went in at the feet of Foxes
striker Adi Yussef. A 17th minute Jake Nicholson corner
found Kudos Oyenuga’s head, as he made a prodigious leap over two
towering central defenders to power home a header and ten minutes later,
it could have been 2-0, but a foul on Jesse Waller-Lassen gave Tottenham
a spot-kick which Paul-Jose M'Poku saw Leicester goalkeeper Robert
Ambrusics push away with a good dive to his right.
However, from the corner, Nicholson picked
out M'Poku this time and his flicked header
went across the keeper and in at the far
post.
Mirko
Ranieri came on for Butler and made a good
stop with his legs to deny Yussef, but the
striker beat the goalie low in the corner
with a 20 yard drive early on in the second
half. The Spurs keeper once more kept
Yussef out, but Leicester got on level terms when Jarron John hit a shot past Ranieri. A
minute later and they had taken the lead,
with a close range Nathan Hicks volley and
as Tottenham tried to get an equaliser, Jeff
Schlupp broke away down the left wing and
crossed for Yussef to hit Leicester’s fourth
to secure their eighth win out of eight
games this season.

Tottenham's
Under-18s did well to overcome an in-form Leicester City side who are
challenging Spurs at the top of the table, despite a much changed team
due to call-ups for the reserve team a couple of days later.
It was the ninth win on the spin for Spurs
and it was achieved with some good passing
football, although Oscar Jansson came to
Tottenham's rescue when he made an
outstanding save when the game was
score-less. However, the side settled
and went ahead on 30 minutes, when Jake
Nicholson's cross fortuitously found it's
way into the Foxes' net.
Ten minutes into the second half, Ryan Mason
was fouled to give Spurs a penalty and he
put the ball away from the spot to make it
2-0. On 65 minutes, David Hutton hit a
third after he was put through by Mason and
it was then that Tottenham relaxed and let
Leicester back into the game. Two
goals in the 70th and 78th minutes brought
the score-line much closer and City pressed
to equalise. However, in the 82nd
minute, Hutton finished well when one-on-one
with the goalie to make it 4-2 and Harry
Kane was denied in the closing stages as his
goal was ruled out by an off-side decision.

Spurs edged
a thrilling battle with Leicester City,
after the Foxes came back from 0-3 down, only to fall to a cracking goal
that handed Tottenham the win at the Belvoir Drive training ground.
Spurs started sharply and they had chances
with Dean Parrett and John Bostock going close.
A foul on Andros Townsend by Joe Cobb brought Tottenham
a 10th minute penalty, but Ryan Mason failed to convert it, with Robert
Ambrusics pushing it past the post and Spurs had
to wait another 20 minutes for Mason to tee up Yaser Kasim to hit a goal
with a low shot from the edge of the penalty area with his left foot. Leicester
came back into the game with Ricky Sappleton forcing a good stop from
Butcher in the 22nd minute and immediately, Lee Cox hit a shot that hit
the post and then bounced away.
Jon Obika also struck woodwork a minute
before the break, but fifteen minutes after the interval he scored to make it 2-0 and quickly
added a third, both created by Mason, but then Spurs went into
self-destruct mode with some lax defending.
A sloppy goal in the 67th minute allowed Leicester to get off
the mark with Robbie Burns scoring, quickly followed by a second from
an Adam Vasey shot from inside the area two minutes later, then a Ricky
Sappleton 78th minute penalty was scored to
level the score at 3-3, having been brought down by Jamie Butler.
Spurs
were indebted to defender Adam Smith, who struck from 35 yards to send a
screamer past the keeper to earn a win in the 86th minute after dominating for
the first 65 minutes.

Spurs
overcame a resilient Leicester City side with a 3-2 win at Spurs Lodge.
Leicester
had the better of the early play, but
Tottenham took the lead through a Jon Obika goal, although the Foxes
were 2-1 ahead when they struck either side of the break. A
tactical change saw Spurs come back into the match and the boys took
their game to the visitors and David Hutton slotted home a 60th minute
penalty, while Adam Smith and Hutton combined well to set up Ryan Mason
for the winning go

A 5-3 win over
reigning Academy League champions Leicester City featured an impressive
debut for Danny Rose.
Going
0-1 down, after only seven minutes,
Tottenham hit back straight away with Dean
Parrett scoring a 20 yard strike.
Around 22 minutes, the home side regained
the lead with an interception that was
worked into a good opening that they
converted.
With 31 minutes on the clock, Daniel
Hutchins made it 2-2 as he received a
clearance from a corner and curled the ball
back past the keeper from 20 yards out.
The score remained that way until half-time,
then Danny Rose and Calum Butcher appeared
as substitutes after the break, changing the
balance of the game and making Spurs look
much more comfortable.A
good pass from Parrett set Alex Olsen free
and he slipped the ball home to give
Tottenham the lead for the first time after
55 minutes, then Danny Rose was felled for a
penalty that David Hutton slotted home to
put Spurs 4-2 up. With 82 minutes
played, Rose then scored a fine solo debut
goal with a run cutting into the Leicester
box and beating a defender before his shot
beat the keeper to put Tottenham 5-2 ahead.
With minutes remaining, Leicester got a goal
back to reduce the margin of victory, but it
could not hide the improvement in the Spurs
play from last season's defeat against the
Foxes.

Tomas Pekhart gave
Tottenham a 2-0 half-time lead with two very different goals, but Spurs
succumbed to Leicester's exploitation of set-pieces in the second
period. Pekhart
charged down the goalkeeper's kick and then put the ball into an empty
net, with the second goal being a flowing move to put Tottenham into a
good lead. Yaser Kasim played David Hutton through on the wing and
his cross was invitingly placed for the Czech striker to hit the net.
The strong wind
forced Tottenham back and from three set-pieces
Leicester grabbed goals that gave them a 3-2 win.

Spurs earned a 1-1
draw against Leicester City's Under-18 side with a good performance at
Spurs Lodge.
Top of the
table Leicester took the lead, but Spurs battled back
with Jake Livermore scoring Tottenham's equaliser with
15 minutes left. Cian Hughton and David Hutton
linked well on the left wing to open up the visitors
defence, leaving Livermore to dash in at the far post
with a well-timed run to get onto the end of the move
and grab a point for Spurs, who felt they might have had
more from the match .

After
an hour, Spurs Under-18s looked set for a win, being 3-1 up, but a late
surge by the Foxes gave them the points.
Simon Dawkins, Radwan Hamed and Matthew Wells put
Tottenham ahead, but three goals in the last 15 minutes
saw the home side win out.
Tottenham's first
goal had a touch of luck about it, as
the Leicester
keeper fumbled a cross and Radwan Hamed was on hand to
tap home the loose ball. Tommy Forecast was at
fault when he let a shot squirm through him two minutes
into the second half to make it 1-1, but then Simon
Dawkins crossed for Matthew Wells to hit a far post
volley in to put Spurs 2-1 up. Dawkins fired a
shot to to the keeper’s right to make it 3-1 with 60
minutes gone.
Spurs continued
to go forward and this saw them caught out as Leicester
pulled a goal back and sparked a rally that saw them hit
two goal sin the last five minutes to steal the game
4-3.

Spurs Under-18s lost 0-2 away to Leicester
City in the FA Premier Academy League.
The Foxes scored both goals in a ten minute
spell just before the interval to wrap up the game. Spurs had
chances, but failed to take them, leaving them chasing the game. A
lack of concentration five minutes before half-time saw Leicester
get behind the defence to score and then four minutes later, it was
2-0.
The introduction of Radwan Hamed helped
Spurs add some pace up front, but although the side found their
shape and form in the last half hour, they failed to break through
the Foxes defence.

A 2-0 win for Spurs
was just reward for a good performance against Leicester City at Spurs
Lodge.
The game started with
Spurs in the ascendancy, but Leicester got back into the match, although
neither side looked like scoring. However, Andy Barcham broke the
deadlock by creating the opening goal for Charlie Daniels. Barcham got
away on the left wing, took the ball past the Foxes' right back and
squared the ball for Daniels to knock the ball in from six yards out.
It was Barcham who
scored the second running on to a long ball through the middle to slip
the ball past the visiting keeper. Tottenham could have scored a couple
more goals in a good fifteen minute spell at the end of the game, when
Spurs opened Leicester up on the wings, with Jamie Davis going close.
