1908 Walter Bull scores for the final time in his Tottenham career.
1913 Tottenham sank to their biggest home defeat by Derby County in front of the lowest home crowd for a match against the Rams = 10,000
1919 Equal biggest losing margin in a home match against Orient.
1930 Ted Harper's hat trick equals the highest number of goals scored by a Spurs player in a match against Blackpool and helps Spurs to their equal biggest home win over Blackpool, also equalling the highest total of goals in a match against the Seasiders.
1947 Harry Gilberg makes his debut in the forward line in front of the biggest crowd at Newcastle United for a visit by Tottenham = 62,876

Goalkeeper Ted Ditchburn rated this as his favourite match, as he received a standing ovation at the end from the packed crowd.

1963 Ian Crook, midfield 1980-1986, born.
1964 Jimmy Greaves' goal gave him 100 in Tottenham colours.
1965 Jimmy Greaves' hat trick helps Tottenham to their biggest win over Torquay United and equalled the highest aggregate of goals in a game against the Devon club.  It was also Tottenham's highest home crowd for a visit by the Gulls = 55,081.
1972 Martin Chivers scores twice to become the player who has scored most goals in a game against Carlisle United for Spurs.  This win also equalled the highest winning margin against Carlisle in an away match.
1977 Neale Fenn, forward 1995-2001, born.
1982 Glenn Hoddle takes three penalties in this match, but they are all the same one !!  The first attempt is saved by Peter Shilton, but the referee says he moved too soon and ordered a retake.  This kick was scored by Hoddle, although the official once again ordered a retake as a Spurs player was inside the area when the kick was taken.  The third kick was a valid one, but unfortunately for Tottenham it was again saved by the keeper.
1996 Tottenham sell Ilie Dumitrescu to West Ham United for 1.5 million.
2003 Tottenham's first Premiership win at Villa Park.
2009 Jermain Defoe scores the first goal of his second spell at the club.

Portsmouth get their first Premier League point at White Hart Lane.

David Bentley makes the 150th Premier League appearance of his career for Arsenal, Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur.

2011 Tottenham sign South African midfielder Steven Pienaar for 2.5 million from Everton.
