24.11.2010 A Spurs XI beat Ipswich Town 4-1 at Spurs Lodge in a friendly match.

Having found themselves 0-1 behind at half-time, the Spurs team saw two half-time substitutes combine in the 50th minute to create an equaliser.  Zaine Francis-Angol's left wing run and cross was met by Cameron Lancaster to lift a header over the keeper to make it 1-1 and three minutes later, a raking pass from Dean Parrett found a good run by Massimo Luongo to beat the visitor's goalie to turn the game around and put Tottenham ahead.

In the 59th minute, Simon Dawkins took the ball in the area and turned his man to fire home the third Spurs goal, before Nathan Byrne was brought down in the area to provide Harry Kane with the opportunity to convert fro the spot in the 79th minute to end the scoring.

21.03.1981 Spurs were hit by Ipswich Town for a 1-5 defeat at Portman Road.

Trialist John Lidford scored the first Town goal in the 14th minute with a header and that was almost his last involvement as he broke his collar bone and had to be replaced by Don Souter.  The foul that caused the injury gave Ipswich a penalty, which Bryan Krug converted.

Into the second half, Tommy Parkin, Colin Clarke and Mitch D'Avray scored to make it 0-5 and only a consolation goal in the 59th minute reduced the score-line a little.

18.10.1980 Spurs fielded a strong side, but were unable to breakdown a determined Ipswich Town side.

Laurie Sivell made a last-ditch save diving among the feet right in front of goal, while at the other end Roger Osborne hit s shot over the bar from close range, then had a header cleared off the line in the second period.

Trevor Putney and Mitch D'Avray both whistled shots just wide, but the match ended scoreless.

A 2-2 draw saw Tottenham's reserves robbed at the death by a late penalty for Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

Halfway through the first half, Spurs found themselves a goal behind and were level just before the break when Gerry Armstrong fired in a shot from just inside the area.

The game was fairly even, but Spurs took a late lead when Garry Bacon scored with a rocket of a 30 yard shot that found the net. However, a late spell of pressure ended with the penalty given against Andy Keeley that got Town a share of the points.

21.09.1974 Spurs Reserves were just too strong as they put in a good performance to beat Ipswich Town Reserves 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Despite early chances at both ends, the first goal had to wait until 26 minutes had passed. Alfie Conn put a free-kick onto Chris Jones' head to score.

Ipswich goalkeeper David McKellar was busy and did well to stop John Margerrison and Danny Clapton, with a header, from scoring before the half-time break.

Two minutes after the interval Clapton fired a shot in off the post to make it 2-0, but they had the lead reduced halfway through the half when Terry Austin tapped in a goal after the Tottenham defence had been opened up by the visitors.

However, Spurs reasserted their dominance to ensure the two points stayed in North London.

18.03.1972 Tottenham enforced their place as leaders in the Football Combination by beating Ipswich Town Reserves 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Joe Kinnear floated in an early free-kick, which Ray Clarke headed to set up Mike Dillon, who volleyed home the opening goal. The second Spurs goal also came in the first half, when David Jenkins chested the ball down for Graeme Souness to shoot home.

Spurs took their foot off the gas in the second half and had to keep Ipswich at bay on a difficult dry pitch, but a last minute free-kick got the Suffolk side a consolation goal.

24.04.1971 Spurs Reserves were held by Ipswich Town Reserves to a 1-1 draw at Portman Road in the Football Combination.

Spurs had the chances to score in the first half, but bad finishing and the crossbar denying Roger Morgan saw them turn around a goal down to the home team.

The woodwork again came to Ipswich's rescue in the second period, with the post being struck by a header from David Jenkins, so it was late in the game that Graeme Souness, on as a substitute for Jenkins, struck a fine volley to score from John Collins' cross.

Spurs Reserves went ahead early on in this Football Combination match against Ipswich Town Reserves at White Hart Lane and went on to a good win.

John Cutbush's cross was headed home by Roy Woolcott to make it 1-0 to Spurs, but Ipswich equalised when former Spurs apprentice Terry Shanahan capitalised on a slip in defence to score.

Spurs were reliant on Phil Holder to restore the lead with a thumping 20 yard shot and when Tony Want's left wing run saw Roy Woolcott touch the ball on to Dennis Bond to scored a third Tottenham goal.
