Attended Broxburn St. Nicholas Secondary School, Winchburgh

Started at Uphill Saints (juvenile team).  Later played for Edina Hearts and captained the side.

Was an apprentice joiner, before he took up football as a profession.

Signed for Celtic as a 13 year-old.  Signed "provisional" forms two years later.  Signed as a professional at 17.

Played one game for Celtic before moving to Carlisle United in September 1970.

Joined Spurs from Carlisle United in November 1976.

Lived at Upshire.  Enjoys drawing and oil painting.  Did a series of caricatures of tem-mates and staff in the Spurs programme (1977-78 season).
