          Notable Dates

1905 First ever meeting with Newcastle United.
1924 Prince of Wales attended a match at White Hart Lane against Oxford University in aid of the Tottenham Hospital (named after him).  He had his arm in a sling and got a great ovation from the crowd.
1928 Biggest away crowd for a match at Leicester City = 47,296
1931 Johnny Ryden, half back 1955-1959, born.
1947 Leon Joseph makes his only Spurs appearance on the wing.
1958 Winger Cliff Jones signs from Swansea Town.
1959 Norwich City pulled of a shock FA Cup result by beating Tottenham in a replay, before they got knocked out in the semi-final, in front of the biggest crowd for an away game against the Canaries = 38,000.
1961 Biggest away crowd for a visit to play Aston Villa = 65,474
1974 Radek Cerny, goalkeeper 2005-2008, born.
1983 Jermaine Jenas, midfielder 2005-2013, born.
2007 Tottenham's first away win against Fulham in the FA Cup.
