1885 The match was abandoned after 75 minutes.
1903 Vivian Woodward makes his England debut, to become the first England international ever at Spurs.

George Fredericks makes his debut at inside forward.

1923 Smallest home crowd for a visit of Blackburn Rovers = 10,000
1942 Jack Gibbons scores one of his five hat tricks against Orient.
1946 Derek Possee, winger 1963-1966, born.
1948 Horace Woodward scores his only Spurs goal.
1953 First ever meeting with Halifax Town in front of the biggest away crowd = 36,885 (still the club's record attendance).

Les Bennett's second goal was his 100th goal for Tottenham.

1959 Biggest home crowd for a visit by Norwich City = 67,663
1973 Neil McNab signs for Spurs.  He became the last amateur and the first 16 year old to play for Spurs.
