Frank Brettell Was with Everton in their pre-League days from 1879 as a centre forward, inside left, half back and goalkeeper !!  Took up a post on the Everton committee on retiring and served the club until 1892.  In March 1898, he took over at Spurs and eased the club through their transition into a Limited Company.  Brought a number of top players to the club and played a major part at the club until he left in February 1899.
