03.12.1975 When John Pratt shot home from just inside the box at the Park Lane end in the 17th minute, few could have imagined what they about to witness.  However, by then Doncaster had already taken a seventh minute lead through Alan Murray.  A John Duncan tap-in 30 minutes in, set up by Jimmy Neighbour handed Tottenham the lead for the first time.

Six more Spurs goals were countered by one more from Rovers, as Tottenham progressed to the semi-final to face Newcastle United.
Seven minutes after the second half kicked off, Peter Kitchen restored parity.  Two minutes later, an own goal from Chappell extended Tottenham's lead, before Duncan and Chivers both scored either side of the hour.

The sixth goal came from Martin Chivers who drove a left foot shot in on the volley and the next Spurs goal saw John Duncan complete his hat trick with a well taken effort , rounding goalkeeper Dennis Peacock and knocking home from close range helped Spurs to a 7-2 win over the Yorkshiremen.
