spurs v chester city match reports

4.10.1995 Spurs took this Coca-Cola Cup tie easily 7-1 on aggregate with a very good 3-1 win at the Deva Stadium.

Veteran Cyrille Regis made the first goal for Chester City, heading on for Leroy Chambers to knock the ball home on 21minutes and Regis almost added to that lead by putting a header onto the post.  The Tottenham equaliser came when Sheringham hit a fine free-kick into the net from 25 yards, then just before the half-time break, Teddy set up David Howells for a powerful volley that ripped into the net.

Teddy scored another in the second half to ease Spurs into the next round of the League cup competition.
