Spurs travelled to South London
and came home with a 4-0 FA Premier Academy League victory.
Spurs welcomed back Alex Pritchard and Zaine
Francis-Angol from injury and Jonathan Miles started his first Academy
league match, as Tottenham set about their task early on with Pritchard
nicking the ball off the Addicks' centre-half and playing in Laste
Dombaxe, who hit the net with his shot.
While that was the only goal of the first half,
Tottenham added two goals soon after the turnaround and they came from
Pritchard with a curling 50th minute free-kick, then five minutes later,
Shaquille Coulthirst put Pritchard away to beat the keeper and make the
score 3-0.
Spurs then put together a good move on the left
and it was finished well from a narrow angle by Jesse Waller-Lassen to
make it 4-0.

Spurs eased through this FA Youth
Cup Fourth Round tie 3-0 against Charlton Athletic with an impressive
performance.
Spurs took the early game to
Charlton, but in the seventh minute, a long ball
up-field from Solly went over our back four and Oscar
Jansson raced out to clear, but the bal held up and Long
got to the ball first. From a tight angle, he shot
at goal past Sam Cox, but Callum Butcher was on the line
to clear the effort away.
Moving the ball to the other end,
Spurs put Andros Townsend away on the left, from where
he crossed for Paul-Jose M'Poku to get a shot on target,
but it was blocked out to John Bostock, who placed a
side-footed shot from 16 yards onto the inside of the
post and the ball unfortunately bounced out.
Stephen Caulker came close to breaking the deadlock in
the 17th minute, when his powerful header from Yaser
Kasim's free-kick was beaten out by Christie in the
Charlton goal.
Tottenham were moving the ball about well and a one
touch move opened the Addicks defence and Bostock ended
it with an effort that was pulled wide in the 25th
minute. Two minutes later, Spurs got closer, with
Townsend's low ball along the six yard box just too far
ahead of M'poku and Jon Obika to reach. But
Charlton were determined to test our defence and on the
half hour, a free-kick was played into the Spurs box.
This was caught by Jansson and a pacy counter-attack,
with the keeper throwing out to Dean Parrett saw him
cross just too high for Obika to get a decent connection
on the ball. Ten minutes before the break, Kasim
curled a free-kick just over the top and breaking at the
other end, Jansson held a 30 yard effort from Pell.
Jansson was in action again, as
Godfrey was put through on goal by Lozano-Calderon and
the keeper came out to stop the shot with his legs in
the 39th minute. It was three minutes later that
Tottenham went ahead when John Bostock picked up the
ball 40 yards from goal in the middle of the pitch and
smacked a shot that flew into the top corner with the
goalkeeper helpless. 1-0 to Spurs in the 43rd
minute, but Jansson came to the rescue in added time at
the end of the half, as he dived to stop Godfrey's shot
at the near post. The
second half saw Charlton pushing to get back in the game
with a shot by Pell that went over the bar, but then
Spurs hit back and from a short corner by Kasim,
Townsend cut into the area and drove across the keeper,
who grabbed the ball at the second attempt as Caulker
came in. The next Spurs move doubled the lead on
the hour, as Bostock moved forward to unleash a shot
from 25 yards into the bottom right hand corner as
Obika's run drew defenders away.
Now confident with the two goal lead,
Tottenham pressed on and hit the underside of the bar in
the 72nd minute, when Townsend shifted Bostock's pass
out of his feet and smacked the ball against the
woodwork from the edge of the box. Unfortunately,
the ball bounced just to high for M'puku to get a decent
header on it. A couple of minutes later, Bostock
put Obika in and his shot from the right forced Christie
to save with his feet and then the keeper made a fine
save, tipping over Obika's shot that looked destined for
the top corner of the net.
With just over ten minutes left,
Spurs sealed the win with the third goal as Parrett put
a pass through from the right side to Obika, who
out-muscled the defender in a race for the ball and
slipped it past the advancing keeper to see Tottenham
through to the fifth round tie away against Plymouth
Argyle.

The Under-18 team had the better
of the game, but failed to break through against
Charlton Athletic's youngsters in this 0-0 draw.
Ryan Mason twice tested keeper
Christie, but he was equal to them, making a further
fine save from Yaser Kasim. The closest Tottenham
came was in the 88th minute, when Andros Townsend crashed a shot past
the keeper, but saw his effort bounce away off the goal-post.

Some poor finishing and some bad luck
prevented Spurs Under-17s taking a win from this home match with
Charlton Athletic and they had to settle for a draw.
The post was struck by Ron Henry and Walter Thomas in the first 45
minutes, but it was Charlton who took the lead, following a free-kick in
the 20th minute.
A neat header from David Galbraith set up a chance for John Sutton and
his 38th minute strike levelled the scores. Despite another effort
hitting the crossbar, Spurs could not force a winner.

Spurs Under-19s were grateful to George
Snee's brace that earned a point on their FA Premier Academy league
visit to Charlton Athletic. A 25
minute 20-yard shot gave the Addicks the lead, but Spurs hit back in the
first half, with Snee's finish to good build-up work from Yannick
Kamanan.
Once more, Charlton went ahead, early in the
second half, but Snee levelled again, when he ran onto a ball over the
hoe defence to slot the ball in past the keeper.
